THE QUESTIONS
Find your evidence in your workbook, your Field Guide, and your team’s actual problem.
1. Arguable & Open is the test teams pass most easily. Name the answer you already expect your team question to reach. If you can predict it, is it really open, or just a report with a question mark?
2. “A test failed is not a pitch killed; it is a pitch told the truth early.” Which of the four tests did your team go easy on Monday just to agree, and did Tuesday’s overnight re-test expose it?
3. Scoped vs. Splittable: narrowing to one population and one setting makes a question researchable, but can three lenses still each find something different to study? Where is the breaking point, and which test should win?
4. “A lens is a method, not a person you listen to.” Push a classmate: on your problem, is their lens a real method, or just one stakeholder’s opinion? What counts as evidence for your lens that another lens would reject?
5. Read your team’s strongest objection aloud (too broad, too thin, already settled, can’t be split). Can someone from another team answer it better than you? Which lens on your team can answer it, and what part can no lens answer?
6. For your lens, which evidence type would be most credible, and what would it miss? Whose IRR has to cover that blind spot so the team presentation (TMP) holds together?
BEFORE YOU LEAVE
In your composition book: one classmate’s challenge that changed your team question, the test you now doubt most, and your next research step.
