Welcome

Welcome to our webpage. The purpose of this webpage is to communicate effectively with each other. I am excited for the school year to start, and excited to be a part of the Royal School District. This will be my 25 years in education. I took a few years off to work in the corporate world, where I discovered making money is not my true passion. I live in Ellensburg Washington, and am also a farmer. Well, it is my family’s farm, I basically encourage and cheer my family on as they do the work. During June, August, October, November you will find me on a tractor. We specialize in Timothy hay. If interested, you can follow our exploits on Instagram @Centerviewfarms. The rest of my time is spent traveling with my family, and golfing with my youngest son. I am blessed because I have the coolest wife in the world. Jenny is an angel to put up with me. My oldest daughter, Laina, is a junior at Washington State University (Go Cougs!). My middle daughter, Deirdre is a senior at Henry M. Jackson High School (yes! I lived in the west side for 25 years). My middle son Hawkeye, is a freshman at Henry M. Jackson High School. My youngest son, Bear is in first grade at Mount Stewart Elementary in Ellensburg. Needless to say, I have been watching children’s television shows for over 20 years.

Your child’s, as well as your voice matters to me. I build my class around four principles: achievement, respect, fun, and freedom. Yes! That is my personal cell phone number to the right. Feel free to text me, call me, email me…etc. We are working towards the same goal—ensuring your child is successful. You are welcome to volunteer in my classroom, contribute to our learning community, and share your thoughts and feelings.

I look forward to getting to know each of you better this year. I will use this blog to update you about the happenings in the classroom. Feel free to comment too. There are just a couple of ground rules. Keep it clean. Keep it positive. Keep it value-added. If you want to share some difficult news or critical feedback, please use the contact form email, call or text me. I am not a fan of the keyboard warrior. It really doesn’t help others.

‘Thank you for letting me spend time with your child. I appreciate them and you!
